we co-hosted the hashtag#FAIC End-of-Year Event with UNSW Engineering, bringing together researchers, industry leaders, and innovators shaping the next phase of AI in financial services. Thanks to Professor Rabhi Fethi for opening the afternoon and to all the academic speakers Iromie Samarasekara, Liam Liu, James Bian, Xiwei (Sherry) Xu, and Yuchao Jiang who shared their work, across business architecture modelling, hashtag#ESG knowledge systems, hashtag#GenAI in education, and the latest advancements. And to industry presentations from Olivier Debaillon, Nick Munro, Mark Bradley, Jerry Parwada, and Alan Hsiao, across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Westpac, Advisor Ratings, and Cognitivo. Your contributions made the event a true reflection of how research and industry can move forward together.

And then we moved into Sydney’s Biggest AI Builders Party, co-hosted with NVIDIA, a night designed purely for connection and creation. Over 100 AI engineers, developers, and researchers gathered for one focused talk from Johan Barthelemy (NVIDIA) on hashtag#NIM and hashtag#Blueprint Services. Conversations, whiteboard ideas, spontaneous collaborations, exactly the kind of community energy that drives hashtag#innovation long after the event ends.

Bringing these two events together reminded us of something important: the future of AI is built not just through breakthroughs, but through the people who choose to show up, share openly, and create together.
